Paired with Focal Aria 948, the combination is perfect! After many hours of listening in Hi-Fi and home cinema, I am delighted with my purchase. It brings me complete satisfaction in Hi-Fi and amazes me in home cinema. Sometimes I find myself stunned, impressed by this high-quality pairing. It just makes you more demanding in terms of sources, as there are real inequalities in both Hi-Fi and home cinema. I was afraid that this LX 87 might be a bit too powerful, but I find that it's just right for delivering heavy or even very heavy sound. You can achieve a very immersive experience in both areas. However, some sources still require turning up the volume quite high to get a good result. That's when you don't regret the power reserve—in fact, you might even wish for a little more. But perhaps it's the quality of the source that's more questionable. My only complaints would be the amplifier's really low-quality remote control and the poorly designed settings menus, which don't meet today's standards in the tech world. The iControlAV app for Android/iOS quickly becomes essential. This is a real success, but you still want more.
Pros: numerous features, power, musicality.
Cons: ergonomics, remote control.
